  • We stayed at this beautiful house while we were in town attending a wedding. The house was a perfect set up for different couples and single occupants. It was a great location for the wedding at Sandy Cove and it was so close to the town. We woke up to beautiful sea views. The house was spotless and so much more than we expected. The hosts were fantastic! Would highly recommend!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ilfracombe. The accommodation was really nice. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, spotlessly clean. We made good use of the sitting room for evening chats, after a day of activities in the town and there was plenty of room for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

  • This was a great stay. Communication was always quick and straight forward. The place was as described with accurate pictures. A lovely location with great views over. A short walk down into Ilfracombe itself and a great base from which to explore the north Devon coast. The place was well equipped and had everything we needed. We had a great 10 days

  • The property was perfect for our family of 5 and our dog. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and they replied to our messages very quickly. I would definitely stay here again and cannot recommend it enough to other people looking to stay in north Devon.

  • 10/10 Perfect hosts, great location, would definitely recommend. Fantastic comms with the hosts in the lead up to our stay. Welcome book was very useful with emergency contact numbers, instructions for use of appliances, details of location and things to do. Kindly provided soap / washing up liquid and other essentials for arrival. Brilliant idea to have a beach lending library of windbreaks etc. Very comfortable stay and a real home from home.

  • We had the most amazing time ! Took my grandchildren , Son & his Wife .
    Woolacombe beach only a short drive which was just superb .

    Waking up every morning to the wonderful view of the sea was amazing.
    Fantastic location and has everything you need to make it home from home .
    Everything is within easy walking distance with added bonus of having a swimming pool directly opposite the property
    Itā€™s been done to a very high standard , spotlessly clean . Nick and Kerry have thought of absolutely everything when kitting out the property.

  • We had such a wonderful long weekend at Ocean Terrace. The house was huge for 4 adults and a dog, we felt very spoiled. And waking up to such beautiful views was a real highlight. The communication with Nick and Kerry was really helpful and friendly from the start and throughout. It was our first visit to Ilfracombe but we will definitely be back. We really enjoyed strolling around the harbour and going to the Tunnels beaches. We also had a lovely trip to Woolacombe. We had an excellent meal at The Pier and watched the sun go down with a drink on their terrace looking out to sea. And breakfast at Storm in a Teacup beach cafe at Watermouth Harbour was a treat. This is a really well equipped property in an ideal location and brilliant hosts.

  • We had a wonderful time in Ilfracombe, and the property was perfect for our needs. It is clean and spacious throughout, and felt very homely. It is much larger than it appears in the photos! We were even able to check in early, which was a massive bonus. The garden was beautiful in the warm weather, and the property is perfectly situated to get to the harbour. I would definitely recommend Nick and Kerry's property.

  • This was our first time to Devon.. and it was amazing.!!! We booked for a weekā€¦ and wanted to stay another. Ocean Terrace is a well equipped home for a family of 4 and our dog and can easily accommodate another family.
    On arrival parking was easy, right outside the property and inside was spotless.
    The harbor is a beautiful walk taking in some of the most stunning views.
    Plenty to do and plenty to eat.. we will definitely be returning

  • The most amazing views of the ocean and Illfracombe harbour from the lounge as well as the master bedroom. We couldnā€™t of picked a better location. Itā€™s only 8-10 mins walk to the centre of Illfracombe and even less to the idyllic Hele. The coastal walks with breathtaking views are literally only minutes away. Facilities second to none everything families require (loved the range cooker) itā€™s obvious a lot of thought and love has gone into the property to ensure we had a great stay. Im sure all family dog owners would agree it was a bonus of us being able to bring the dog on our family holiday too! The only negative thing I can say is we were only there for a week wish it could of been longer. Will definitely be returning to Ocean Terrace without fail. Thank you Nick and Kerry.

  • We stayed for a long weekend at Ocean Terrace and cannot recommend this beautiful home enough! It has a great location close to the harbour and short walking distance into town with lots of cafes and restaurants close by. The house has amazing views of the sea and sunset too. Inside itā€™s spacious and decorated beautifully - and there was more than enough space for our dog which was great! Thereā€™s lots to see and do locally and we would recommend visiting the S & P Fish Shop in the harbour if you love seafood. Woolacombe beach is a short drive away offering miles of sand and sea and dog friendly all year round!
    We will definitely be going back and would recommend staying at Ocean Terrace to everybody looking to visit Ilfracombe! šŸ™‚

  • Fantastic house and garden with beautiful sea views, in a great location close to the harbour, coastal path, and beaches. Nick and Kerry were extremely helpful and even phoned on the morning of our arrival to let us know we could check in early and to give some tips on things to do. Would definitely book again.

  • Stayed with 3 friends. Good location. House was spacious. Clean and had everything we needed.
    Owners were excellent, great communication!
    We travelled to appledore, woolacombe and croyde. All easy to get to from ilfracombe.
    We ate at the lime kiln and the food was excellent.
    We also ate at a polish cafe in ilfracombe ā€¦. I canā€™t remember the name but the 3 cheese ciabatta and homemade coleslaw was amazing!!! Highly recommendā€¦.. I think it was called ā€˜jā€™s ā€˜ just up from costa on opposite side of road!
    We also had Sunday lunch at the beaver inn in appledore which was really great! Plus an amazing vanilla ice cream!!!!
    Weā€™ve really had a great stay! The house was fabulous!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at ocean terrace. The house was spotlessly clean with everything we needed . There is no dedicated parking but there is on street parking which we always managed to get a space outside the house. Also there is a large carpark opposite if needed. Our hosts were absolutely brilliant. Communication was excellent.
    Overall we really loved our stay, we would highly recommend.

  • Nick was immediately personable and provided some great local recommendations. Great amenities, the kids appreciated the well connected Wi-Fi and extensive programme access on the TV. House was comfortable and spacious and well appointed. Great shower with loads of pressure with plenty enough hot water for the whole family. A great location to provide an easy walk into the town centre, parking was easy. Weather was iffy, but we enjoyed our short break in Ilfracombe nonetheless! Plenty of great walks and pub lunches, thoroughly recommend the Grampus Inn in Lea Bay. Spicy bean chilli was to die for! Enjoyed some fabulous fish n chips from Lynbay Fish & Chips who also catered for coeliacs (gluten free batter was amazing according to my better half). All in all, a great base to explore North Devon from.

  • Superb property. We went with 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs and 2 cars and it had ample room for us all. Parking was right outside the property which enabled easy access to unpack and pack when we left. Nick and Kerry were so easy to contact, probably the best host we have experienced in terms of communication. The weather was pretty bad the day of our arrival and they were superb in getting us into the property slightly early. This was really kind of them. They also provided loads of information regarding what to do in the local area, where to eat, and other helpful information. All in all, we were sad to leave and could easily have stayed another few days. We would definitely recommend the property and would return at the drop of a ha

  • Great location for both Ilfracombe and Woolacombe bay, good size rooms with comfortable furniture and lots of practical touches (coffee machine, cookware, variety of glasses, good sized fridge etc). Hosts were great at communicating and recommended plenty of activities, and were happy to answer questions ahead of our stay. Check in/ out was simple and always found parking easy.

    Lots of supplies and things that were useful for family. Good high chair and cot. Location very good and 8 minute walk to the Lime Kiln cafe where we ate all the time. Perfect for a family holiday and great dog walk up to the hillfort.

  • We travelled to Devon to stay for 3 nights at the end of the Easter holidays. With 7 of us (2 adults and 5 kids) and a dog in tow, we were so spoilt with the space on offer in this luxurious house. It was so homely and accessories aplenty. Nick and Kerry have thought about everything! The view from every window at the front of the property was breathtaking. And sitting out on the balcony with a morning cuppa - blissful! There was so much to do within a short walk, down to the Ilfracombe harbour where we mooched around the shops, went to the cinema as weather a bit wet. Then took the boys crabbing over the pier. Restaurants friendly as well as dog friendly too. A short drive away, to Croyde bay where the boys bodyboarded all day and weather was lovely! As soon as we arrived, we knew we wanted to come back and for longer. There is so much to do, and the information guide that Nick and Kerry send and leave at the property is so useful. We most definitely will be returning! Thank you for fulfilling our needs for a lovely family holiday away!

  • We stayed at Ocean Terrace over the last weekend of February. What a wonderful property. The location is fantastic, overlooking the sea and a 10 minute stroll into the town (Unless you have a dog who wants to sniff every bush, then it'll take you 20 minutes). I loved the kitchen, especially the range cooker and the DAB radio so I could listen to the radio whilst cooking. If you like self catering you'll be in your element. The local butchers supplied great meat and as for S and P Fish, it was still flapping. Couldn't fault our break.

  • Had a fantastic 3 day stay at this lovely house. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the door, so warm and cosy.
    Amazing views across to the town and sea, 4 great sized comfortable bedrooms with plenty of storage for clothes, a large bathroom, separate toilet downstairs, dining room, kitchen with everything you could possibly need, and a really cosy lounge with 2 big comfy sofas and a large TV. Plenty of books and games. The enclosed garden was an added bonus, especially for the dogs, would love to visit again in the Summer to make more use of it.
    A short walk to the harbour and town through a footpath across the road, visited 3 pubs, favourite was The George & Dragon.
    Had a delivery from Maddy's Chippy one night which was lovely.
    Owners of the house were so helpful, letting us have lots of local information and information about the house, and on arrival found wine, chocolates and even a birthday card waiting!
    Would highly recommended this holiday home and hope to return in the future. Thanks for having us.

  • Just arrived home from a lovely stay at ocean terrace. It really was a home away from home. perfect for a family or group staycation. lots to do locally for the children and the beach and harbour are both within walking distance. we travelled to Woolacombe too which is only 5 miles away and the beach was beautiful. We also enjoyed the local fish and chips (dolphin).
    Kerry and Nick were brilliant hosts

  • We stayed here over the May half-term and it is a fantastic place to visit. The house is perfect for large family groups and offers incredibly easy access to Ilfracombe harbour and the beach at Hele (where you can hire kayaks or paddle boards). It is really well equipped and the view from the front windows is incredible - watch out for the sunsets!
